PRODUCTION SEMINAR
Part of participating in a Skidmore Theater production for credit is attending Production Seminar, a series of lectures that help to tie education and dramaturgy to any piece.
Throughout the semester, the arch.I.tect team was visited by a variety of Production Seminar presenters. Their work in their respective fields - including philosophy, social psychology, and museum curatorial work - allowed us to get a better grasp on the hunch and the story we wanted to tell.
From exploring existentialism to curating "Self Exhibits" at Skidmore's Tang Teaching Museum to guidance through movement and space on Zoom, we learned a lot through these sessions.

RESOURCES
We would be remiss if we created a production set in a forest and did not acknowledge that globally, over 420 million hectares of forest have been lost since 1990 due to deforestation.

Because of this, more than 20,000 tree species have made it onto the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.

We could not have told our story without the forests and the trees. We cannot exist without the forests and the trees.
As you consider the story of where you came from and who you are today, consider your future and the future of our world.

Every live arch.I.tect audience member received a take-away memento from the production team: a clear box containing seed paper so that they could plant their own seeds and watch them grow.

Stay educated, plant a tree.
